1 〔病気〕 (an) illness; a disease. [=びょうき]

●胸の病 tuberculosis

・気の病 a disease without a physical cause; a psychosomatic disease

・心の病 a mental illness [disorder]; a nervous disorder

・恋の病 lovesickness

・不治の病 an incurable [a fatal] illness.

病が癒える recover from one's illness; get well; be restored to health; be oneself again

・病が篤(あつ)い be dangerously [seriously, critically] ill

・病があらたまる one's illness takes a sudden turn for the worse; one's condition changes suddenly
